Garages are utilized for multiple purposes and hence the utmost care should be taken about their security to protect your assets and family. Here are some safety tips for garage doors.

First of all, never forget to keep the remote control and the door opener out of reach of the kids. Then, you have to go for a good visual assessment on garage door at least once a month. Check for any hint of damage in its cables, springs, pulleys and rollers and if any don’t delay to repair/remove them. And yes, make sure to consult an expert mechanic for all the repairs.

Then, never put fingers between the door sections & make sure to teach your children about the possible dangers of the typical act. Besides, do not ever keep the door partially open as it poses a big threat on your property and family. If you are out on a holiday, unplug the unit of door opener or else count on the holiday lock console safety switch that would deactivate the control for the time being.
