Stairway carpeting

You may have an enchanting stairway leading to upper floor in your house. However, in case there are kids, there is ever the fear of accidents waiting to happen. Thus it is wise to go for stairwell carpeting. It is expensive but necessary.

You can budget your carpet by buying ordinary woolen ones. Once you have measured your individual stair rungs and counted the number of rungs, your work starts. Get carpet cut into sizes that match individual rung sizes. Place them and strengthen them by nailing splices horizontally and vertically.

It is harder to DIY if you have a spiral stairway. For straight ones, extend the carpeting on landing as well. You may add cork cushions underneath each carpeting spread for more padding. Use indoor slippers only while running on these stairway carpets. Just make sure that these slippers are not slippery. For impression, you can go for velvet variants.
