Tips to Sealing Stainless Steel
Every household has a few pieces of stainless steel items. It may be in the form of a piece of furniture, a piece of cutlery in the kitchen, a tool in the tool box or as little as a screw in an appliance. A number of stainless steel products need to be sealed to ensure that they function properly and last longer. However, very few people are aware of the various methods used to seal stainless steel. Some of the most common ways of sealing stainless steel are – heat sealing, thermal sealing, impulse sealing and dielectric sealing.
In the heat sealing method, stainless steal is heated to a high temperature so that it fuses with the other metal. In case, the temperature remains constant due to a rotating wheel, the fusion of steel is caused by thermal sealing. In impulse sealing, resistance elements are utilized for the application of heat to achieve fusion temperature of steel.
